Tales of an Old Soul

The river full of serenity floated,
She took my tears and made them hers.
My tears carried my sorrow and my soul,
The river took them to meet the world.
You met both of them,
Meeting them was meeting me.
And now you praise my work,
You say you want to be like me.
But you don't know...
What it means to have my heart.
You don't know...
How hard is it to be me.
My soul is an old one,
She feels the things others can't feel.
My grief is a deep one,
No one else can bear it, no one but me.
Out of my sorrow...
That's where it all comes from.
Every written word is an emotion,
An emotion from the deepness of my soul.
