This little contribution was suggested by an email received from my Editor, TeNderLoin No idea is truly original. This tale owes a debt to one I read in the nineteen forties; only that was about a an earlier tale of an atomic bomb!
Into every life a bit of truth may fall. The truths of life fell into mine. This is my homage to the creed called the 'Facts of Life' that Lazlo Zalezac invented for his novel, 'The Millionaire Next Door'. I recommend the story as one of Zalezac's best.

Poggitty Farm is a most unusual place. The animals run the entire farm themselves, and life runs very smoothly. That is, until one day a stranger showed up with a promise to make the animals famous.

Meet Cyril Potts, a Briton working as a private eye in the USA. He gets some strange clients, which is all right because he is a strange investigator. We first encounter Cyril during one of his reveries, but he soon shows that when the need arises, he can lurch into action - in a way.

On Earth, Sid is a college student who has a very odd uncle. When his uncle dies and leaves him his house, Sid learns that he has inherited more than a home. In the closet of the study is a portal to the planet Crossroads and his caretaker, Sally. From Crossroads is a portal to Chaos, a planet with Damsels in Distress. It is up to Sid to rescue the poor Damsels in Distress and claim his heroic rewards. / (Reviews)
