Everyone has experiences they talk about. Here are three of mine.

Into every life a bit of truth may fall. The truths of life fell into mine. This is my homage to the creed called the 'Facts of Life' that Lazlo Zalezac invented for his novel, 'The Millionaire Next Door'. I recommend the story as one of Zalezac's best. I like to honor unsung heroes. This year, it’s the WACs. Their badge is Athene Pallas, the goddess of war and wisdom. The WACs were all of that. They were volunteers in an era when most of their male counterparts were drafted. But they were women in this man’s Army. So, they never got the credit they’d earned and deserve. The other day, I ran across a yard sign that said, “Land of the Free, BECAUSE of the Brave.” That’s who I’m talking about here.

This is a true account as a report of the abuse of office by a number of Australian people and how they cause trouble for people who dare to believe in things different to them. They use the cry of 'Child Porn' to scare people into accepting what they want. The worst part of this is the government greatly changing the law but not publicly saying they did. This hasn't ended well, but as best as can be. The people and events in this book are real with names are changed for legal reasons.

Always stay heads-up, and have a Plan B: leave yourself a way out. A true story.

This is not a combat story, but a recounting of the activities of my father, a transport driver, and his friends in the Australian Army during World War 2. It's the incidents and events they talked about over a drink when they got together to remember the old days. Most are funny, in many ways, and some are frightening. They convey what they did to stay sane, and also why they were there. Included is the poetry by the author, nearly all of which was written whilst on active service. 24,900 words

This tale is based on a personal trip in 1969, when I hitch-hiked from Sydney to Perth, some 3,000 miles. This, in the middle of a very hot Australian summer. The main road, a lot of it unsealed at that time, runs across the Nullarbor Plain, a desolate land inhabited mainly by kangaroos, with a few small settlements along the way. I must have been mad, but I did actually complete the journey, taking only 3-and-a-half days. The latter portion of the story is fiction, but the majority is true.
