Under the Same Roof 2001 was not a very good year for teacher, Anna Kimmel. Her marriage was on the rocks. Her mother was suffering from the affects of a debilitating stroke. Anna begins adjusting to a new role as a single parent when she learns of a tragic vehicular crash that leaves a ten-year-old girl without her mother and brother. The child is assigned to her classroom in the fall and Anna becomes deeply involved in helping her adjust.
