The world of Darvin Carpenter, a PI in Albuquerque, NM
This is actually the second Carpenter novel, but it's the first which is available for me to post. This is the first visit of the Carpenters to Red Hawk since Darvin left Red Hawk back in the 80s. It ties in with a short story called "Ghost," which I'm also posting so you can get the background of this novel. Also, because of the overwhelmingly positive feedback from The Chief, I'll be posting more chapters at a time. :)
I spent 18 years preparing for a war that never happened. This is what might have happened had the USSR attacked in the early 1990's. My hero's roll is small, yet pivotal.
The world of Darvin Carpenter, a PI in Albuquerque, NM
Yirmeyah Hudson comes from rural Texas to Albuquerque to pastor a church, and - without realizing it - to meet his wife. See my blog post for some detailed information about the story. :)
It was a tradition almost as old as she was. For twelve years, thirteen year old Mary and her father had made a pilgrimage to the site of the old Bells supermarket. Mary, though, was not to be denied... A companion story to the Bells Across the Universe series on Storiesonline.
